Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT-200, ERYT-500)

Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT)

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. I began to practice in university as a way to alleviate stress and anxiety. My practice has evolved to become the corner stone for all aspects of my life. My practice and the philosophy of yoga weave through my life on and off the mat. It is in my daily life that I experience the greatest gifts that practice has to offer. In the words of TKV Desikachar: ” The success of yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our lives and our relationships”. As my teacher, Baba Hari Dass, has said “if you work on yoga, yoga will work on you”.

Drawing on my background in Classical Ashtanga, Hatha, and Yoga Therapy, I focus on alignment, breath, and Ayurveda in my classes. My teaching style emphasizes connection to the breath, introspection, and self-reflection. My intention is to provide an inclusive, non-judgmental, safe space for others to connect deeply with their inner resource of well-being, peace, and joy.

I completed my 200 hour training at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga in 2011 and a 500 hour training at the Mount Madonna Centre in 2014. I received a diploma in Yoga Therapy through Ajna Yoga College in October 2019. I am a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

I am involved with teacher training programs at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga and Ajna Yoga College.

I teach Hatha, Gentle, Restorative, and Therapeutic Yoga classes in Victoria. I also offer one on one sessions and corporate/work place classes.
